Tillandsia Intermedia
Tillandsia Intermedia is endemic to western Mexico, where it grows as an epiphyte at altitudes from 0 to 1000m. This species is one of the most interesting Tillandsia as it grows “upside down”, forming huge colonies. Probably it’s most unique point is that it produces pups from both its base, and from its inflorescence! This creates a weird and wonderful chain of plants. The plant is similar in appearance to an elongated T. Paucifolia, it's foliage is a light green in colour and mostly smooth (minimal Trichomes). It forms a long pink / green inflorescence spike with tubular, mauve flowers.
